Get Involved

Welcome to The Dish!

We are The Dish, a local Christian organisation providing food, friendship and inclusive community to disadvantaged people in the Hornsby area.

We...

  • Provide meals to up to 40 people Tuesday and Friday night year-round.                                                           And on the first Wednesday of each month.
  • Offer friendship from an accepting community.
  • Community Food Care Program, rescue fresh food that would otherwise be wasted from local supermarkets and bakeries so that disadvantaged people can benefit from it and keep stocked our Community Pantry for people to access when needed.

We don’t ask questions about why people use us, we are simply glad they do.

Looking for a meal?

If you would like a healthy, free meal, then you have come to the right place.

At 5:30pm Tuesday and Friday, we will serve you a nourishing two course meal with a chat at 207 Peats Ferry Road Hornsby, St Peter's Anglican Church. Here we are on the map.

Need some help with groceries?

We rescue edible surplus and unsold food from 6 local supermarkets and keep a well stocked community pantry.

If you are or know of someone that is struggling and could use some assistance with groceries, fresh fruit & vegetables please register here. See our Food Care Program page for more information.
