We are a local Christian organisation dedicated to serving the Hornsby community with food, friendship, and inclusive support.
What we do:
Provide nourishing meals for up to 40 people every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night, all year round.
Foster genuine friendships and create a welcoming, non-judgmental space for those experiencing vulnerability, isolation, or homelessness.
Run our Community Food Care Program, rescuing fresh food from local supermarkets and bakeries that would otherwise go to waste, and stocking our Community Pantry to support those in need.
Welcome everyone without question — we don’t ask why people come to us; we’re simply grateful they do.
At The Dish, everyone is valued, everyone belongs, and everyone is invited to share a meal and a moment of connection.
If you’d like a healthy, free meal, you’ve come to the right place.
When: 5:30 pm — Tuesday to Friday
Where: St Peter’s Anglican Church, 207 Peats Ferry Road, Hornsby
Join us for a nourishing two-course meal and a friendly chat. Everyone is welcome — no booking required.
We’re here to provide good food, connection, and community.
Here we are on the map.

At The Dish, we believe everyone deserves access to fresh, healthy food. That’s why we rescue edible surplus and unsold food from local supermarkets and maintain a well-stocked community pantry.
If you, or someone you know, is experiencing difficulty putting groceries on the table, our Food Care Program can help. We provide groceries, fresh fruit, and vegetables to support you and your household.
Getting help is simple and confidential. Please register on our Food Care Program page to access support, and visit our Food Care Program page for more information about how we can assist.
We’re here to make sure no one goes hungry — and to help our community thrive.

Without our volunteers, the work of The Dish would not be possible.
